Iveco Trucks achieved a combined full year volume growth of over 25% in 2016.
The truck brand says 2016 was a great year thanks to a revitalised product range and growing professional dealer network.
Sales in Australia and New Zealand were up, with Iveco New Zealand recording its best sales performance on record – a 45% volume increase on 2015 full year results.
In Australia, Iveco achieved a 6% full year volume increase, the brand’s best sales performance since 2013.
Iveco Australia marketing manager Darren Swenson says the result is a turnaround for the brand and will help build a foundation for additional future growth.
“The last two to three years has seen considerable change at Iveco.
“A new management structure has been implemented, our manufacturing facility has undergone restructuring and there has been considerable time and effort devoted to better meeting the needs of our customers,” Swenson says.
“Wholesale changes of this nature obviously take time to effect, so it’s exciting to already be seeing some early benefits as an organisation as well as for our customers,” he adds.
An added bonus for the truck brand is the launch this year of the Euro6 Eurocargo, International Truck of the Year 2016, while Daily van, cab chassis and Daily 4×4 models will also benefit from upgrades alongside selected Stralis variants.
Swenson also noted the brand’s continued investment in its dealer network and says the brand will focus on aftersales products and services in 2017.
The dealer network has grown over the past 12 months to over 60 outlets comprising of full line, light duty and parts and service outlets.
“This number will expand in 2017 with additional strategic appointments and the further evolution of existing outlets,” says Swenson.
“We will further promote the brand’s aftersales offerings in order to increase buyer awareness of dealer servicing and our range of extended warranties, program maintenance contracts and related products.”
